POISON (The Bakery Revisted)

Mr. Benson,

Sitting on my writing table, immediately in front of me, is a very small number of 4 x 6 cards each with a reminder to reconsider the positions a particular writer and I took on a certain subject. I consider the writer/artist's position worthy of a review because it contains some merit; that is also why the number of cards is very small.

One of them is Steve Benson's carton in The Arizona Republic, of 03/09/00, "The whole... not the hole. Good Cops/Bad Cops." I subsequently wrote an in depth critique of its theme. With non-contradictory reasoning and valid logic, I exposed his theme as invalid and his pictorial conclusion false. However, again, he called and stated that, "I needed to reconsider the whole vs. the hole." This I have done over the past weeks.

In the disciplines of a priori and a posteriori reasoning and etymological accuracy, his theme still remains invalid and its conclusion false. Therefore, I assume that he must simply mean a kind of simple mathematical ratio. In other words, if we were to use a "super" computer to count heads, we would find that it produces a larger number of "good cops" then some smaller number of "bad cops."

Despite the perverted utilitarian ethics of such a count, I admit that using such an infantile way of counting, where only cops who were in some way "punished,” his theme might be true. But cognitive examination above a childish 1,2,3, etc., produces a different picture. As I previously pointed out in my essay, when you expand the conceptual framework of bad cops, not to just punished perpetrators of some illegal or unethical act, but also to include each and every cop who knew of those acts but refused to report it, let alone act against it—then hides behind that even more evil Blue Wall of Silence—to any honest mind, the score keeping changes astronomically and his "Donut turns to mush!

He says that he simply cannot accept my statistical analysis. Well try this on for statistical fit from men who Benson would invite to dinner to meet the family. Retired Police Chief Joseph D. McNamara, a man who spent 35 years wearing a police uniform reports, "Los Angeles cops are taught to lie at the birth of their careers at the Police Academy, I've come to believe that HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS (Emphasis mine) of law-enforcement officers commit FELONY PERJURY (Emphasis mine) every year testifying about drug arrests." (I guess they believe in the Clinton definition of perjury!) He goes on to state, "These are not cops who take bribes or commit other crimes; they are law-abiding and dedicated. They don't feel lying under oath is wrong because politicians tell them they are engaged in a “holy war fighting evil'."

Agreeing with Mr. McNamara is Police Chief Bernard Parks who reported, "An evil cancer has been found inside the LAPD...the scandal has grown so large that settling the lawsuits $125 million is a sum twice the size of the Los Angeles budget for liability." The district attorney claims, that hundreds of criminal cases are all linked to the growing list of officers under investigation for tainted and faked arrests."

Mr. Benson, what sort of numbers did you have in mind to disprove the obvious?

Now to some recent evidence that offers strong proof that even an elementary 1-2-3 count presents a numerical race to close to call. The following are just two such pieces of evidence, out of many appearing daily in newspapers, in ever increasing numbers across the country:

1. The Arizona Republic 08/10/00 headlines: CASA GRANDE’S DIRTY SECRET. I need not repeat it; for surely you've read it, and surely you can see which way your donut tally would crumble!

2. The Arizona Republic 09/03/00 headlines: BORDER TRAINING UNDER FIRE. Again, I need not repeat it, or it's even more obvious arithmetical donut demolition—especially when one adds in that sinister Blue Wall of Silence!

More to ponder: I deeply believe that Benson is no way racially bias (His work proves that over and over). Nevertheless, does he honestly believe that his Good Cop/Bad Cop theme or the events of the two articles above could or would ever be believed as evidence of most cops being good and very few being bad in any barrio, ghetto or inner city in this country? Especially since so many polls show that such areas distrust the police and consider corruption and cover-up rampant!

Surely, Benson, you would disagree with the rabid right that holds that most of these people are criminals or potential criminals anyway! Again, in the face of such overwhelming evidence, I see nothing left for you to do but repudiate your cartoon and its false message. In your position it will take Solomon-like wisdom and Herculean guts; but it's the only ethical and moral thing to do!

Mr. Benson, my preceding presentation is a simple, common sense way, open to any honest mind of average intelligence and education, to see the truth of the subject at hand. Of course, it is virtually never seen, but for other reasons I will subsequently cover.

What follows has never been accepted and has always been scoffed at by the vast majority with any intelligence and education. Since I find no merit in writing to those who think as I think, believe as I believe, nor to those who simply don't think nor know what they believe—I write to those who think and believe diametrically opposed to me—to those who make up virtually all educators, columnists, politicians, intellectuals, etc.—to those who consider me a fool, a traitor, a dangerous person, at best pitifully ignorant.

Their evaluation of me is never for their lack of intelligence, or for their lack of education; usually, they are very high in both. They come from the "left,” the "right,” the "center,” from every metaphysical direction possible by the human mind!

It is more than noteworthy, though, that when most of them write (if they write) a rebuttal of my work, it most often follows one or more of the following courses:

1. Argumentum ad hominem. For example, Columnist Steve Wilson offering to help people pack and leave his country if they don't pay their taxes, and Keven Willey and Barney Frank calling people who burn their OWN red, white, and blue cloth, "ignorant rabble" and "obnoxious jerks."

2. Argumentum ad Verecundium. Used by virtually ALL theists and many educators. For example, Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson on same sex marriage, homosexuality, etc.

3. Argumentum ad Populum. The favorite of ALL politicians. For example, Bill Clinton's belief that he is a good president because a majority voted for him or a majority in the polls say what he did was of no consequence.

4. Argumentum ad Baculum. For example, Daryl Gates proposing public executions for marijuana users. Bill Bennett wanting the beheading of drug dealers. Countless cops using batons on the head and up the rectum. And, several times, the people at ballgames who decide to try and force me and my family to stand for that putrid song and flag of tyranny. And that great American hero, John McCain, who wants to put flag burners like me in prison for 5 years!

But one thing they virtually never do is cognitively counter principle by principle, axiom by axiom, syllogism by syllogism, my reasoning, my evidence, and my logic. I take it as an indication of the intellectual strength of my arguments.

Fundamentally, their intellectual shortcoming is historically twofold. One, they are simply consistent with the millions of years of Homo sapiens’ cerebral evolution, and the way primitive man viscerally dealt with physical survival—Life and Death! Two, they are products of the most advanced and skillfully developed propaganda and indoctrination model ever formulated by an advanced collective: the religious, educational, political, legal, and social systems of the United States. It is only its unique economic system that forms the fountainhead for human progress and survival.

It is unparalleled. Whether compared to the fiction of Huxley's Brave New World and Orwell's' 1984 or to the reality of Hitler's and Goebel's Germany or Lenin's and Stalin's Russia. Though effective, these systems were always open to insurrection and had to be maintained by extreme and brutal force; the knee had to be forcibly bent! On the other hand, the sheep of modern America, like Boethie's quote, "Wear the yoke and have learned to love it." Their knees bend willingly, rarely requiring force, America's ethnic and jingoistic sense of superiority (God's people) exceeds by far even that of the otherwise unprecedented Roman Empire.

The ironical and paradoxical reasons for this phenomenon is the unique historical nexus that formed from a virtually virgin continent (America), a complete absence of political, cultural, most of all existing economical systems, and finally the writing of Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith. The subsequent development of laissez faire capitalism free market economics, a virtually non-existent political system, the explosion of inventive genius, venture capital, and entrepreneurship led to a nation of material wealth, prosperity, and happiness never seen before or since.

Given this virtually infinite level of satisfaction, Americans were, and have been ever since, 100% vulnerable to the subtle, but successful build up of tyranny, loss of freedom, and erosion of birthrights, further evidence of the social, political, and religious power of this Pavlovian brainwashing. This can be witnessed in another ironic fact that so many of the more recent scientific and inventive minds by which we learn of reality and who continue to invent ways to pull man inch by inch from his brutish and superstitious past can not, themselves, avoid the Orwellian snare of theism and statism!

So why do I bother! First, because as I stated on the dedication page of my book, it is for me and someone." Second, because I believe that without their full awareness, Benson's and E.J. Montini's work shows a chink in that Orwellian armor over their neo-cortex. If it should ever be fully stripped away, they both would do tremendous things in the struggle for truth and reality—before that "rag" they work for fires them.

Well, what is that "truth" and that "reality?” To briefly answer that, what follows is a very succinct précis of relevant sections of my forthcoming book: EVERY PERSON AN ISLAND, The Individual Human Being As Prime In The Universe. Though I've been preparing it for over 25 years, it is still one to two years from completion.

That concise summation:

1. The genesis for all existence is the singularity (Big Bang to most people), and evolution (Darwinian in nature) is the infinite thread drawn through that unique event. Both of these events are PRIME; therefore, the metaphysical origin of ALL that follows, including the individual human being. (The Hubble Telescope and The Human Genome Project continue to prove such fact almost hourly.)

2. Etymologically and epistemologically, this original thread must be the foundation of all language and knowledge when writing or speaking of any of man's actions or development—biological, sociological, political, etc. This axiomatic non-contradictory binding of man’s existence to PRIME is conceptually known as reality. Since cognition precedes communication (speaking and writing among people) it is mandatory that the words to symbolize that cognition be chosen solely based on their uncompromising dependency and traceability through and to PRIME. Through this etymological paradigm, therefore, we guarantee our epistemological and metaphysical truth about a reality as told or written to another.

3. Any other use of words, or actions based on words, that violate the above axiomatic principles is null and void, a complete denial of reality, and usually results in evil. Since an emotional denial of reality is the way over 99% of human beings think, speak, and write Ayn Rand (one of the very best at reality based cognition) called this violation: "The Fallacy of the Stolen Concept." It is using etymological concept building and communication while denying the validity of Its roots (PRIME) on which it logically depends. I like to offer this quote from Lewis Carroll to conceptualize that violation:

WHEN I USE A WORD, HUMPTY DUMPTY SAID IN A RATHER SCORNFUL TONE,
IT MEANS WHAT I CHOOSE IT TO MEAN. THE QUESTION IS, SAID ALICE,
WHETHER YOU CAN MAKE WORDS MEAN S0 MANY THINGS. THE QUESTION
SAID HUMPTY DUMPTY IS WHO IS MASTER—THAT'S ALL.

Here are twenty pointed examples of such graduates of Humpty Dumpty School of language. They will be followed by two longer examples that demonstrate how such etymological and epistemological breaks with truth and reality produce unimaginable evil.

The brief list of language looney tunes:

1. Clinton on sex, truth, and dresses,
2. Falwell and Robertson on homosexuality,
3. The pope on Jews and other religions,
4. Steve Wilson on taxes,
5. Jefferson on race relations and offspring,
6. Westmorland on napalm and hibachi burns,
7. That "brilliant” blond bombshell Kevin Willey on me, my family and other "ignorant rabble” of flag burners,
8. Reagan on reality,
9. Aquinas on war/the all good god!
10. Both Bushs on public speaking,
11. Again, that "brilliant” blond bombshell on the Kennedys,
12. Reno on burning babies,
13. Bill Bennett on virtues and decapitation,
14. The constitution on “Rights,” Trail of Tears, 3/5th of a human being,
15. The police defining brutality and The Blue Wall of Silence,
16. The Bible's etymological chaos dogmatizing as the Alpha and Omega of omniscient and omnipotent order in the universe,
17. Ministers, Priests, and Rabbis explaining child abuse, Pol Pot, Hitler, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Trail of Tears, slavery as "Why Bad Things Happen to Good People,”
18. The Arizona Republic's editorial page explaining on why the vote is the way to stop number 17 above,
19. Newt Gingrich, Joe Lieberman, and Gary Condit on stable marriages.
20. America is a free country because we have over 2 million people in prison. More than any of the other non-free countries in the world.

The following two examples demonstrate how the language laceration and prostitution inherent in the 20 preceding statements must eventually lead to evil!

1. To "cure" the potential damage to any individual's life and health by the misuse and abuse of drugs (of anything for that matter)—America collectively (an example of abuse itself!) denies the PRIME reality of an individual human being's birthright of bodily sovereignty. Then politically uses the fallacy of the stolen concept and declares a "war” against that reality—the prime and sovereign existence of the individual human being. Scientifically speaking they will use force to make Newton’s apple "fall up!" Consequently, they perpetrate the evil of putting one million humans in prison for how and what they do to their own bodies! Most of them for breaking some lex mulla lex nulla law against marijuana or how one gets a bigger bicep. This further results in billions of "stolen" dollars to reverse reality, subsidize a "new” field of organized crime, create massive corruption among already corrupted law enforcement, and underwrite murder and genocide in our cities!

2. This collective evil in all its hellish splendor: It is not known how many murders from passion, robbery, for hire, rape, gang warfare, etc., have been committed in the 20th century, but it is known that it is no where near the documented 300 million murders that have been committed by governments (aka the state). Nowhere near the millions more that subsequently died from the infrastructure collapse, especially children at Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Vietnam, Korea, and the ones who continue to die from the destruction of medical and water facilities by Bush and Clinton's "smart" bombs in Iraq. To OK this attack on reality, politicians, historians, educators, and idiot columnists like Steve Wilson continue to quote that "saintly and moral" thinker Aquinas on war as moral, murder as collateral damage. Their innovative Newspeak is infinite.

Returning to the itemized précis of certain portions of my book:

3. Such heinous, inhuman acts and their verbal rationalizations are the direct result of severing that prime thread of reality. The first “cut” is man's canonizing of force over truth to alter human behavior. The second “cut” is the use of the stolen concept fallacy of “giving” existence to non-existents. (Malignancies initially formed from Plato's "Ideas.”) An existent is some—thing, a referent, that has material existence; it is the sensory building block of man's vocabulary, hence his knowledge of reality. For example, in my second example—300 million murders—the nonexistent is the fallacious concept border. Nowhere in the universal thread of reality (the expanding singularity through all of evolution) is there such an existent as a border! The only such referents to reality are entropy, continental shift and geological rearrangement. The non-existent border is the mystical, superstitious and jingoistic manifestation of man’s evolutionary fears of his mortality and the threat of human beings outside his tribe—today his country or race! Today’s best example: The U.S. Government’s 2,000 mile non-existent U.S./Mexican border over which it spills Mexican blood in “its” deserts! To all but Pavlovian puppets, jingoistic jerks and devious despots, the border as a non-existent is clear. Allow me to present a term that I’ve long believed to be a non-existent, but until just recently could not prove so within the PRIME thread of reality with axiomatic certainty: Race. But science (not government, not religion, not another damn way!), through the final unraveling of the human genome, has with that PRIME certainty proven race as a referent to Homo sapiens’ existence to be a non-existent. By governmental law and policy, this non-existent (race) has certainly exceeded border as documented evil! I call as historical witness: Hitler’s Germany, Stalin’s Russia, Pol Pot’s Cambodia and that icon of governmental love and affection America’s slavery, Indian genocide and Hiroshima and Nagasaki as nuclear test sites! Of course, individual hate mongers and private hate groups perpetrated and continue to perpetrate evil based on the now proven non-existent race, but the far, far bigger question remains, “How can people who fight such evil on that level become deaf, dumb and blind to that same astronomically increased evil as done by government?” All evil is evil, but when numbers of such evil is the sole criteria, government rules hell!

Why will good men like Mr. Benson and Mr. Montini relentlessly fight "small potatoes"? Evil such as Hollywood's pandering to violence, and Firestone Tires' negligence with the heart of a warrior and the courage of a lion, but break weak in the knees and yellow in the spine when presented with a body count of millions and millions—murdered, maimed and mangled by Satan on earth—government (aka the state)? Is it the simple fact that Firestone and Hollywood can only call you names or write you vulgar letters—trying to “hurt” you with words? Or, is it the fact that to stand against greedy tire makers, Hollywood punks, etc., requires all of the guts of a Don Quixote and a Walter Mitty, while to uncompromisingly condemn and fight the state can get you killed, imprisoned or at best fired?

It’s always been clear to me why a mouse like Keven Willey and cronies will call a family of intelligence and respect for the birthrights of others, “ignorant rabble” for burning their own red, white and blue cloth, that she’s dubbed a non-existent deserving something reality can never deliver! Or when a blowhard like Steve Wilson pretends heroics against “tax cheats” and offers his “prowess” to pack their suitcases and throw them out of “his country.”

But for assumed reasons, I do not place Mr. Benson and Mr. Montini as want-a-be comic book heroes fighting straw men, villains who can never hurt you. Yet, for some reason, when they attack the evil consequences of the state that's as far as their cognitive clarity goes! For example, Mr. Montini produces a powerful column against the greed of Firestone executives that cost a happy little boy his life, and he believes some justice lies in seeing those greed mongers in prison. He further states, (and as a father and grandfather I deeply understand) that his 8-year-old son brings his sorrow and anger to a very personal level. So far so good! The trouble in his justifiable empathy is it does not transfer to the happy children at Waco or the happy son of Randy Weaver at Ruby Ridge, or the thousands of happy children in Iraq!!! While I surely believe that he feels sorrow for those children's murders and suffering, neither he, nor Mr. Benson demand in a column or cartoon the incarceration of Janet Reno, all FBI officials involved at Ruby Ridge, or George Bush and Bill Clinton for Iraq!

I won't even guess and leave it to such people to explain, what paralyzes their higher brain centers? I can tell you, from personal experience, that it is the pain of hell to face Leviathan. It bludgeons and brutalizes you and loved ones; as said in that magnificent Anglo-Saxon poem, "It is not the coward's enterprise!” But if you read this essay and have the intellectual courage to challenge it, I beseech you not to insult your intelligence or mine by any of the following thoughtless rhetoric:

1. They are NOT the same!
2. That's just the way it is!
3. That my thinking is Utopian!
4. Only God knows!
5. Worst of all: The state is an existent that is PRIME to the genesis of all existence! In a simpler way—collective humanity is PRIME to the individual human being!

Virtually every answer I've received (that is, if there is an answer!) is a hodge podge of some or all of them and with a mingling in of those logical fallacies presented earlier. Never, I repeat never has an "educated" writer answered me by organizing first a principle-by-principle, axiom-by-axiom, syllogism-by-syllogism, etc., scholarly criticism of them as developed in my essays, or as presented in précis form. Then, if time and length allowed, developed their antithetical positions as relevant to the discussion.

Again, returning to my PRÉCIS:

4. To intellectually conceptualize, thus understand, this suicidal tendency of human beings, one must understand how about 5 million years ago an ape-like evolutionary line "broke off" to evolve the genus Homo. Then over much time evolved Homo habilis, then Homo erectus with an increased brain capacity of around 800 cc, then Homo sapiens with brain size of 1500-2000 cc.
Therefore, to have an inkling about the nature of man, it is absolutely imperative what that 1500-2000 cc brain saw what no other organism ever sees: Its own existence and its own mortality! Since the forces of nature were brutal and instant death was everywhere, that primitive mind did the only possible “thinking” available at that stage of its own image. Thus was the seedbed for church and state sown out of the unimaginable fear and terror of this initial knowledge.

5. At first this personification assigned "deities" to the forces of nature—storms, floods, volcanoes, etc. Human sacrifice, torture, mutilation, incantations, rituals, altars, totems, prayer, crosses, worship, sin, commandments, medicine men, holy men, seers, priests, ministers, Holy Wars, ad nauseum, all born of that first awareness of existence and mortality continuing right down to this exact moment in time when this same frightened creature is making up his or her "mind" whether to genuflect before Bush or Gore!

6. Let’s return to reality, truth and the universal thread of existence: With the birth of each and every individual human being comes axiomatically his and her birthrights: speech, bodily sovereignty, life, trade, travel, property. No!!! These birthrights are not inalienable rights, not positive rights, not legal rights, and not constitutional rights!!! These are simply more semantical bastardizations, stolen concepts, and non-existents of a rape of reason and reality! They support tyranny, man’s arrogance and evil—albeit by a ballot, a bullet, or a bloodline! For example, speech is an axiom of existence—a birthright. Free crying (speech, you damn fools!) like free breathing (life, you mental midgets!) comes with you when you enter the world, and a doctor slaps your butt! Though, on most, he should have smacked the head! This universal axiomatic reality of existence holds true for one’s body, one’s travel, and one’s property. With absolutely no exception, any infringement by force of these birthrights is the epistemological and metaphysical origin of evil!

Mr. Benson, before closing, I shall again assume: I believe, at least hope, that thinkers like you and E J. Montini see the truth of what I write; your works hint, as I wrote earlier, at such an assumption continuously. I can't guess what keeps them in the “closet.” (Prestige, money, image, fear?) I simply cannot believe its ignorance or indoctrination, like most. So get some "guts" come all the way out of that "closet"; use your talents to light some candles in man's darkness until that rag you work for fires you both.

I must close this synopsis of my philosophy and its eventual book. Otherwise, it will become necessary to expand its research support, thus becoming the book. If Homo sapiens hope to outlast the life span of the dinosaur, let alone the virus, humankind must in a simple way allow Darwin, Newton and their modern peers to stand as judge and jury for its decision making process. This being the only way it can kill the primordial roots of its ignorant and brutish past.

To accomplish this, thinking human beings must go back to "school,” shed primitive brainwashing, learn about Dawkins' "memes,” nanotechnology, gene splicing, cloning, chaos theory, quantum mechanics, genome manipulation, "down loading" human intelligence, etc. It is mandatory that these same open-minded people re-study, in great depth, how laissez faire free-market capitalism works. For it and it alone is how scientific discovery works its way out of academia's labs into new knowledge and innovative inventions improving man's health, wealth, longevity, freedom, labor, and offers the only way to "kill" that primordial evolutionary brute in all of us.

Yes, that Big Bang/Darwinian brute is in all of us. A very few of us hate and reject him, while the Bushes, Clintons, Gores, and their ilk, and the millions of human pawns and puppets get simply orgasmic over him! For example, witness the idolatry of virtually all Americans for the four despots carved into Mount Rushmore and the various sculptured memorials for such despots in Washington D.C. Juxtapose this universal worship of evil icons with the universal ignorance of real creative genius: Eli Whitney, Robert Fulton, Jonas Salk, Samuel Morse, Henry Ford, Gutenberg, the Wright Brothers, Adam Smith, et al. It then becomes crystal clear why we've murdered 300 million people in the 20th century!

Remember, it is the statist-theist who is a misanthrope. The statist believes himself or herself to be of Plato's "Ruling Class," superior to all others who cannot be trusted to run their own individual lives. These elitists must use force for the good of mankind. This concept mankind is, itself, a non-existent to justify unspeakable evil against the individual human being for the good of mankind. As Swift wrote, statists-elitists are "those who imagine they came into the world only to watch and govern."

The theists believe that all individual human beings are born in sin (a non-existent); therefore, can not be trusted to guide his or her own life. Special people (priests, ministers, rabbis) with a special connection to God (another non-existent) will erect icons: churches, commandments, crosses, confession, statues, prayers, masses, ad infinitum to save one sinful individual human being's soul (another non-existent) from hell (another non-existent.) The brilliance of Ayn Rand elucidates "This mystical code of life is set beyond the grave. . . in a supernatural dimension. Individual human beings must take the blame for it and suffer through the whole of his/her earthly existence . . . when a supreme ruler becomes the collector of sacrificing.” Traditionally, there are two such collectors: either god or state!

Non-existents must be defined, installed, and sustained by force. All referents outside of reality or by stolen concept (no roots to reality) are invisible to the neo-cortex, and are usually "implanted" within the neo-cortex by indoctrination and propaganda then conditioned by some kind of Pavlovian reward system, and finally sustained by the use of physical or mental torture. Even though reality and truth deny their very existence, they can last for hundreds, even thousands, of years—witness Plato's "Ideas," Kant's "Moral Imperatives," Christianity's "Divine Birth,” "Mary's Immaculate Conception," Moses' "Parting of the Sea," "Christ Rising from the Dead," and "Miracles" ad nauseum, ad infinitum.

I won't insult your intelligence as to where Benson's “Good Cop/Bad Cop" theme obviously fits in the paradigm of this essay. Suffice it to say, Benson and virtually all human beings pledge allegiance, to one degree or another, to a false edifice of violence to control violence, necessary evil to combat evil, imperfect political systems to control imperfect people. One last example, the American government with the approval of the vast majority of Americans murder supposed murderers as justice (the death penalty). As any student of the mathematical law of probability would know, innocent people are murdered in such a system. No one cares! Then, science (DNA testing) suddenly proves the very truth of murder of innocents as "justice." No one cares! The governor of Illinois decides to investigate what should be obvious to an intelligent chimpanzee. No one cares! The only conclusion: government is evil and evil cannot produce a good! And even in the face of scientific evidence—no one cares!

The sacrifice of the one for the good of the many—Homo sapiens' ultimate evil!

A GOOD MIND TURNS TO MUSH

A GOOD MIND TURNS TO MUSH
(In This Case A Diseased Donut)

To arrive at a contradiction is to confess an error in one's thinking; to believe that contradiction is to abdicate one's mind and to evict oneself from reality; it always leads to the rule of the brute.
Ayn Rand

BENSON’S VIEW
March 9, 2000

In serious discourse platitudes offer small insight and no evidence. Yet, sometimes they adequately open an investigation. So let's open: It is repeatedly said that, "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing." If that be insight, then a large talent in the hand of a mind of little reason and no logic is a malevolent thing, and a harbinger to tyranny.

It follows, then, that by the rules of deductive reasoning and the laws of logic, Steve Benson’s cartoon is such a harbinger. Even allowing for creative license, fictional analogy, pictorial metaphor and poetic puns, it’s an abject failure of cognition. (Albeit the visceral belief of virtually all American.) Indeed, it proves, unintended to be sure, the impeccable logic and reasoning of Frederic Bastiat’s statement as it manifests and infests American law today:

The law perverted and the police powers of the state perverted along with it. Instead of checking crime, the law itself guilty of the evils it pretends to punish.

The following rational critique of Benson’s reasoning and logic, and the subsequent Socratic questioning of his more artistic-poetic approach shall expose, irrefutably, his fallacious reasoning, invalid logic, and the contemptible collapse of his metaphorical cartoon approach.

First his logic, Benson demonstrates epistemological inversion of placing emotion as primary to reason. Leading, therefore, to what’s defined in a priori reasoning as argumentum Ad Ignorantum. The contention of this argument, to render reason impotent and emotion prime, is that the inferences are true because one cannot prove it isn’t. His assertion is the “hole,” a non-existent, objectively exists; hence one is required to give positive proof of the non-existence of the “hole.” Yet, in reality, the absence of the positive is sufficient to disprove the negative.

What Benson knows, or damn well should know, yet is sure that most people don’t, is that it is impossible to prove a negative—that is, prove the non-existence of an entity for which there is, absolutely, no existence. Simply put, Benson’s damn “hole” does not exist. Syllogistically, therefore, the only valid inference to be drawn from Benson’s “hole” is that bad cops do not exist!

Benson, I believe, knows all this. But whether he knows it or not it exposes his absolute loyalty to evolutionary tribalism and his icon worship of statist authority.

He consciously or subliminally replaces the verb of objective reality, to be, with the subjective-emotional verb, “ought to be.” Replaces Aristotle’s reason with Kant’s emotional mysticism. Mystics—subjectivists cannot cognitively process truth that contradicts their wishes, desires, hopes or feelings. Consequently, they “reason”: I wish cops had not raped a defenseless man with a baton. I hope that such an atrocity be the mentally deranged act of one man. I feel that all other cops would condemn, stop and report such evil acts.

And, their most sinister emotional contradiction: I have faith that the blue wall of silence does not exist! To admit the existence of such an objective reality would be to admit that virtually each and every cop on earth belongs in the bad cop portion of Benson’s mischievous donut. It would factually prove passive participation in the thousands of heinous acts under the color of authority daily!

Such a “to be” reality is not to be confessed, for as written in the great epic poem Beowulf, such is "Not the coward's enterprise!" Although very few people will agree, it is axiomatically obvious to me that when an individual witnesses an act of violence or theft against another and stands by and does nothing, not even report it, he or she is guilty of moral cowardice and passive approval.

Even more obvious and wicked, if that witness has a sworn duty to stop and report such acts, but does neither, enters into a conspiracy of silence, he or she is more culpable, more cowardly, more evil than the perpetrator. And the supreme act of such moral cowardice is perpetrated by those (media and government) who publicly defend such systems of tyranny and its brutes!

Yet what's known by all and covered up by most is the absolute existence of such a Blue Wall of Silence, a wall logically leading to the only conclusion possible: The number of bad cops is virtually unanimous!

Avoiding such damning evidence, and sagacious logic is the behavior of a helpless imbecile or an intellectual coward; I do not believe that Benson's donut defense of the brute is the behavior of an imbecile.

Like most people I write to or about, I'm sure Benson hopes that I disappear down some deep hole—donut or otherwise! And as the young, black athletes, from inner city areas, that I've taught physical education would say, "Dat be cool Coach!" They are keenly right, I could care less what Benson or any other statist thinks of me.

But what's not so "cool,” what I do care about is when I'm asked by some of those youngsters to explain the "thinking" behind Benson's dungish donut. Very little, including quantum mechanics, is as difficult to explain to teenage boys who have witnessed one or two bad cops brutalize a friend—father—brother—uncle, etc., while 6-7-8 etc. "good cops" watch; then later swear they saw nothing, or worse swear to a fabrication spun by the sadistic minds of brutes!

Just as difficult to explain is how Benson's mendacious math adds up to only a few bad cops reigning nightly terror across huge and distant inner city areas of this nation; all done while the vast majority of "good cops" hide behind the Blue Wall of Silence! Even remedial math proves that not even a Star Trek, "Beam me up Scotty,” at warp speed could distribute those "few" bad cops fast enough to account for the abuse and harassment that goes on nightly in L.A. alone!!!

Among the several errors in Benson's thinking is his inexplicable ignorance about hatred and prejudice as they have evolved through Darwinian natural selection and manifested in group protection paradigms for Homo sapiens’ tribalism and super-naturalism. Such evolutionary adaptive traits as skin color, language, clothing, food, rituals, etc., formed most of the concretes and referents for the group's institutions of state and church. (Man's tyranny or Gods!)

At the time, those traits, particularly the physical, offered desirable means to enforce the homogeneity of the tribe and to identify the enemy. Consequently, so-called "good" became so-called "bad" people or vice-a-versa when exposed to such traits of differentia, I call it the Jekyll and Hyde Syndrome.

To the point of this essay, it explains how the distorted arithmetical "reason" in Benson's tribalistic donut is possible. It accounts for natural selection's varied mutations, skin color, for example, in Homo sapiens’ differentia between groups producing human emotion (the verb "to feel" over the verb "to be") that is, at once, angelically pure and diabolically putrid.

Simply alter one variable in an otherwise identical setting, and you generically change its reality. For example, change one fundamental in the following two situations, and it instantly produces that Jekyll to Hyde/Good to Bad metamorphosis.

SITUATION ONE: A police patrol, of four cops is driving around Any City, U.S.A., populated by white, middle class residents when they observe a man struggling with the front door of a house on Angel Drive. They stop and smilingly walk toward the man. One officer asks, "Can we help you, sir?” The man repeatedly searching his pockets responds, "I can't seem to find my keys." Without hesitation the officer jokes, "Yes, it's happened to me before." The officer then pulls a special key off a ring of keys and opens the door; another officer hands the man his evening newspaper. The man thanks him, and they all wish each other a pleasant evening. (Happens everyday.)

APPARENT INFERENCES FROM PREMISES GIVEN: THESE OFFICERS ALL BELONG TO THE SUGARY SWEET PART OF BENSON'S DONUT.

SITUATION TWO: Later that night the same four officers receive orders to cruise Any Ghetto, U.S.A., populated by poor, black residents. As they turn onto Bleak Street, they observe a black man standing on the porch of tenement housing. He is fiddling with a window. They stop, cautiously step from the car, and standing behind the car doors shout, "Hey man, what are you doing!" The startled man abruptly turns. The cops instantly pull their guns and order the man not to move. The confused man, reaching for his wallet, says, "But I live here, I'll show you ¾," without hesitation the four cops shoot him 41 times! (Did happen just the other day.)

APPARENT INFERENCES FROM PREMISES GIVEN (CONTAINING OUR ONE GENETIC VARIABLE) THESE COPS BELONG TO THE DARK HOLE OF BENSON'S DONUT.

The unavoidable metaphysical, epistemological, ethical and moral question facing all "donut bakers" is, "which kind of cops are these guys?" And, "who is the majority and who the minority?"

Perhaps a column in the Republic 03/12/00, lights a candle or two: So called highly honored "good" cops in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, backed by virtually every cop and white resident of this community, are murdering the aboriginal Indian population (ah! our one variable). Jim Woldram, Chairman of Natural Studies at the University of Saskatchewan states, "This type of behavior is not uncommon—aboriginals are routinely victimized by the police.” (Emphasis mine.)

Benson's arbitrary donut logic must determine are these a majority of bad cops given the Saskatchewan police population only? Or, a minority of bad cops per the population of police worldwide? Or are they bad cops when dealing with aboriginal Indians, but good cops with everyone else?

When dealing with this type of Orwellian Newspeak and Mad Hatter's Tea Party semantics—"Who the Hell knows?” I guess we must await a Benson cartoon explaining "A few bad apples in a barrel of good ones!"

The ONLY thing to me, that smacks of reality in Benson's entire tribalistic defense of omniscient authority, albeit witch doctors or votes, totem poles or constitutions, popes or police, is that "educated,” influential people like Benson, who down play and arithmetically rationalize atrocity and brutality, under the color of authority, are far more culpable than our Jekyll and Hyde cops. And, at the very least, should be taken behind a woodshed and have their brains spanked!

Nevertheless, to his credit, he deserves rave kudos for his donut demolition of Aristotle's and Bacon's deductive and inductive reasoning. His defense of tribalism's brutes, mysticism's worship of authority and the primacy of collectivism captures more "minds" than the thousands of pages written by the bastards who fathered them: Kant, James, Mills, Humes, Hegal. Marx, Dewey, Augustine, Aquinas, et al. combined!

Though I can't envision why, many would contend that to be fair to Benson, it must be stated that he is not an Aristotelian logician; he does not make his living viewing reality through reason, logic, and science. His spin on the world is through his "feelings” and faith as an artist-poet. Reality for such "thinkers" exists not in the objective verb of existence TO BE but in the subjective verb of emotion, "ought to be." The very historical "thinking" that led Galileo, when before the Inquisition for heresy, to recant then turn to a friend and whisper, "It still doesn't change a thing!"

Fair or not let's grant him literary license, allegory, pictorial poetics, metaphor, pun, etc. Let's allow his donut to justify the visceral faith of all statists and theists that supernatural and collectivistic paradigms are sovereign over the individual human being. Let's grant him that such paradigms of authority are prime over the laws of science and the axioms of birthrights. Let's grant him that contradiction of all governments and religions that a "few" bad cops, judges, priests, ministers, presidents, popes, etc., are "a necessary evil."

Hence, let's grant him that each and every individual's birthrights, ethics, morality, economics, bodily sovereignty—his or her very existence (the only reality) must be determined and directed by some kind of pragmatic and utilitarian numbers game—albeit a pope or a vote!

Now, let's examine how these donut maker views stack up as an unabashed justification for batons up the rectum, 41 bullets for reaching for a wallet, murder as long as its aboriginal Indians, or stealing Christmas toys, as long as it's a cop, etc. Shakespeare wrote, "Though this be madness there is method in it." Let's search for the method in the madness of Benson's numbers game.

For example, in America the death penalty is legalized madness based on our number's game that a “few" Innocent people must be sentenced to death to provide justice by killing a bigger number of guilty people; hence, the method in the madness! The problem facing this number's game is the NUMBER.

For example, in Illinois recently DNA testing (Oh, my God Science rears its ugly head!) revealed the "number" of innocent people on death row has gotten too "high!" Therefore, the governor (a death penalty fan) has suspended the killing until the "number" of murdered innocent people is again proportionately correct.

In another example, they are in such a numerical mess in L.A. that they can't even find any "good" cops to fix the numbers game! In another example, the Pope has decided that the historical number of evil deeds was so egregiously high, he decided to publicly apologize every hour on the hour over television recently; hence the method—now the madness—this arithmetical apology is NOT to the slaughtered victims, but to God! As they say, "Cover your own ass!"

And another example, is there a special place in Benson’s donut for hundreds of cops who did not brutalize anyone or witness brutalization but were reported in "The Christopher Commission Report" to have broadcast (and recorded) over police scanners nightly the following statements:

"Bees they naugahyde?" the officer said. "Negrohide," his associate responded. "I feel like a real stud," one officer said, "I've been screwing the public all morning." And dozens of recordings referring to black family's domestic disputes as "Gorillas in the Mist." "Best wife beating I've seen. (She) looks like a whipped slave." "Don't cry Buckwheat or is it Willie Lunch Meat." "I'm not happy until I've violated someone's civil rights," "Hi—just got my mexercise for the night." "Go get 'em my man, and shoot him twice for me." "I think all women should be put in cages around that time of the month."

The question: Are these just hundreds of good ‘ol boys, or racist-sexist bad cops?

This numerical "example" madness could go forever. But by now the reader sees the madness, or more likely, believes me to be the mad one. Yet, it still remains murky as to the exact number of bad cops to be allowed to hold justice in favor of the “whole!” Surely Benson's donut is more muddy than clear as to what category a cop belongs to when one day he helps a little old white lady from her car, but the next day blows away a little old black lady sitting in her car fumbling for her keys!

Further, digging for method in the "Whole vs. Hole" morality is complicated by where does Benson's cop fit who doesn't abuse people or ram batons up butts, does witness such acts or knows of them, but is struck deaf, dumb, and blind behind a craven wall of silence, thus never reports them? Can we give "partial" credit as a "good" cop because he only watched Rodney King beat senseless, or he only saw Vicki Weaver's head blown off at Ruby Ridge? How's the LAPD to be divided up as an ever-escalating number of cops are found in the hole and less and less in the whole?

The devastating fact of Benson's lacerated logic is that there is virtually no act heinous enough, under the color of authority that will prompt virtually any cop to come from behind the tragic flaw in all statism, that Blue Wall of Silence. Such genetically driven behavior is a metaphysical axiom of tribalism. The tribe will be protected! That is why Benson's donut “holes and wholes” number's game can never justify or rationalize collective evil, passive or otherwise. Tribalism's offshoots statism and theism found their genesis in such absolute loyalty!

It seems unerringly clear that the entire doughy mess smacks of the Nuremberg defense. There may have been a "few" bad Nazis and SS boys, but the majority were just "good" soldiers following orders! It seems unerringly clear that the recipe for Benson's donut apology by the numbers is the alpha and omega of the recent apologies of a pathetic pope with too much blood on his hands! It seems unerringly clear that the recipe for Benson's donut contains those two ingredients measured from the depths of hell, mixed in all statism concoctions: one scoop of "no systems perfect and two spoonfuls of necessary evil."

As part of closing, here is a personal experience with such a bakery. While I was in one of America's imperfect systems, decorated with that icon of "freedom" the American flag, I witnessed daily servings of imperfect but necessarily evil systems. Here's but one such example of Benson's “hole vs. whole” paradox:

A tough, justifiably angry Mexican inmate, serving time for some marijuana offense (which accounted for over 60% of all inmates), continuously refused to obey the guards' demands that he speak to them in English (which he could if he chose) instead of Spanish. While in a particularly Nazi mood one day such a guard began to beat that inmate, yelling over and over, "You fucking Spic speak English or I'll kick your ass till you cant talk!" Munci, the man's nickname, refused until the Nazi’s promise was fulfilled.

COMMENT: The following can't be proven as fact, but since we're into a "numbers game" morality investigation, I'd bet the donut shop that the recent maudlin media spectacle over a guard killed in an Arizona prison was —"What goes around comes around justice" for just such police brutality.

Back to the prison. Six other guards witnessed this brutalization of inmate "Munci"; they did not touch the man, but refused to intervene physically or verbally. They, also, warned the rest of us (inmates watching) not to admit to seeing anything unless we wanted some of the same. So the recipe looked liked this: 7 guards, 1 beater and 6 watchers. What does Benson's donut ethics tell us? Do we have 7 bad cops or 1 bad cop and 6 good cops or a "new" category of 1 bad cop and 6 "naughty but nice."

Even after decades as a student of Darwinian evolution, natural selection that bifurcated Homo sapiens' consciousness, and tribalism's supernaturalism that wrought the ages of savagery and barbarianism, to help man survive a hostile and terrorizing world, I still sit stunned that "enlightened,” "civilized" people, like Benson, support a metaphysical edifice of violence to control violence; necessary evil to combat evil; imperfect systems to handle imperfect people!

After more attention than it deserves, Benson's cartoon demonstrates much madness and little method, but does offer incontrovertible evidence of Bastiat's wisdom stated earlier ”—the police powers of the state—guilty of the evils it pretends to punish."

And Benson is to be congratulated on his contribution to the rule of the brute.

ETERNAL TRUTH

Admit it or not, all Homo sapiens live by a philosophy of fact or fiction; faith or reason; dogma or science; miracles or evidence. Worldwide, to one degree or another, I guess that at least 90% fall into the categories of fiction, faith, dogma, and miracles. Perhaps 1%--2% live inclusively by fact, reason, science, and evidence; leaving about 8% who live by some sort of mix.

Any of these philosophies chronicling Homo sapiens existence demand two bedrock affirmations: one defines what is PRIME in the known universe, and the other defines the origin and nature of EVIL, the antithesis of PRIME.

The first immutable paradigm, PRIME, is defined as First in Time. First in existence. First in quality, rank, degree, influence, importance, and value. The Individual Human Being is the only PROVABLE existent in the known universe that meets such a criterion of PRIME qua PRIME. Defined another way: when I am here everything is here; when I am gone everything is gone. Hence this infallible paradigm cannot be disproved or proven to be otherwise. (In my book I define it as The Law of Singular Existence, and I offer a more extensive proof.) However, in an essay limited to 1000 words, it’s virtually impossible; furthermore it is only preliminary to the primary reason I write this essay.

The second immutable paradigm (necessary but also only preliminary to the primary reason I write) is defined as STATISM and THEISM which are the very genesis of EVIL in the known universe. They are also known as Church, State, Religion, and Government. Both of them have an evolved history of planned intent to destroy and enslave PRIME via genocide, infanticide, slavery, and torture. Among these endless states is the United States, which has historically employed all of them for its establishment. Of course the reader is certainly justified in demanding that I prove it!

Since that word and space problem, I wrote of above, and since I’m also convinced most readers would prefer to see me dead than to read my proof, I suggest the following: Read the honest and brilliant genius of historian Howard Zinn’s book, A PEOPLE’S HISTORY of the UNITED STATES. His documented evidence cannot be denied—unless you’re an ORWELLIAN automaton, MACHIAVELLIAN despot, or just a JINGOISTIC fool.

This gets me to the reason I chose to write this essay—MURDERED CHILDREN! It’s been preeminently proven that harming PRIME, by individual acts of violence, robbery, murder, jealously rape, torture, etc. OR by STATIST policy, primarily WAR, is the very genesis of EVIL. Therefore, ONE (allow me to repeat—ONE!) infant killed by military action, government orders, or by “smart” bombs suffering I.Q. meltdown, is an act of pure EVIL in NO way different than individual killing or violence!!

Just one graphic example of such warped morality. I recently watched an interview of Lyndon Johnson’s daughter. When asked what words spoken by her dad are the most memorable to her. She responded that it was the time he stated, “I only wish that I could do more for America’s children who live in poverty and neglect.”

Like a firestorm scorching across my mind, I wished for a chance to ask him (and all of the other 43) “What did you feel and think about when you gave orders to napalm hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese and Cambodian children?”

Remember, I stated that THEISM AND STATISM are Janus faced equals as the genesis of EVIL, and I mentioned the word limit to this essay. However, I could simply use words like Rome, Pope, Cardinal, Priest,Bishop, Church in place of generals, presidents, congress, etc. as evil rapists of thousands of innocent children, hundreds of deaf children, and this essay would read the same: Innocent victims and demonic monsters by different names.

In closing I righteously demand that people take the Just War and Collateral Damage semantics and stick them where the sun never shines! Remember, any “human” who believes such crap has to accept such semantics for their OWN children, and we all know that is pure BS!!

Like the license plate says: It should never hurt to be a child.

CHOICES

CHOICES
(Why’s That Elephant Still In The Living Room?)

Homo sapiens’ have spent 1,000 years, writing their history, philosophy, and literature to record, explain, and decree what is to be true and what is to be false. With the ever changing exception of SCIENCE, only two paradigms remain unchanged. Unarguably they are STATISM and THEISM. At times they’ve also been known as Tribalism, Mysticism, State, and Religion. Historically they subsume the following constructs: monarchy, autocracy, democracy, oligarchy, aristocracy, fascism, socialism, Christianity, Buddhism, Catholicism, Paganism, atheism, Muhammadanism, and few others. As Rose Wilder Lane pointed out, "They all take it for granted that some AUTHORITY controls individuals, and there’s been 6,000 years of it in every language."

All of them, one way or another to some degree or another, claim infallibility, immutability, omnipotence, omniscience, absolutism, hegemony, ad nauseum. Somewhere among all of them can be found the United States with its unique recipe.

The sole aim of these non-existent paradigms and constructs is to collectively enslave the ONLY provable existent in the Universe: THE INDIVIDUAL HUMAN BEING (For scientific proof of this statement, I recommend reviewing general physics then immersing oneself in BIOCENTRISM) with this understanding it will then be clear how those paradigms and their constructs are the very genesis of EVIL. Logic will then irrefutably lead to the conclusion that the only way to achieve that genesis is by FORCE. Whenever Theism or Statism feel threatened enough they will turn to WAR the greatest evil of all! Consequently, in the 20th century alone, WAR has filled a river of blood with over 300 million Individual Human Beings.

There is virtually no doubt that this 6,000 year history is true; however as Aristotle wrote, "Just because it’s true doesn’t make it right." Not only is not right, but it’s demonstrably wrong, immoral, unethical, and, as already proven, the genesis of all evil. However, "forced" by science and technology, choices are being made about those 6,000 year old elephants in the living room. Gene and Meme evolution are just getting started, and change is escalating at exponential speed. The fields of SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, MEDICINE, and EDUCATION now hold the potential to free us, not only from the evils mentioned throughout, but also from mortality.

BUT and OH! What a BUT it is---First we must use our new knowledge to free ourselves from those two universal paradigms discussed earlier: STATISM and THEISM. As I mentioned they will launch a bloody jihad to prevent it. Forty years ago I wouldn’t have believed it possible, but evidence during the past 10 years makes it believable.

A ubiquitous interest in two old paradigms, ATHEISM and ANARCHISM (The end of GOD and the end of LEVIATHAN) coupled with a drive to defeat MORTALITY is mapping the way.

Here are a few of those brilliant "Mappers": Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens’ assault on THEISM. Ray Kurzweil and Henry Markroms" assault on MORTALITY. Combined with others they could lead to what Ray Kurzweil calls, "The day that humans became gods." To paraphrase a few words from a song, "Gods and Kings what are they good for? Absolutely nothing!"

Today, unfortunately, the elephants in the living room question still remains--- Will we survive the reaction of the present day Theistic Fanatics, Secular Luddites, and Statist Warmongers?
I just finished reading the book, SHADOW ELITE, by Janine Wedel. She presents the STATISM problem in a unique way. Essentially claiming that neither the elephant of power nor the elephant of money is culpable. Instead she sees it as caused by a "Hidden Group" of sub rosa manipulators who have seized control of the government from the statists of power and the statists of money. Below is a brief opinion I sent her,

Cool name—Shadow Elite; has actually been known for years as "America’s Ruling Class." By either name it only exists BECAUSE the STATE exists, not the other way around. Just being very rich and very smart, without the RIGHT to use deadly force backed by law, will not allow you to rob or kill without equal "blow back." BUT because the STATE, in some form, has always existed, it makes it a sure thing for the rich smart guy to buy the guy who passes the laws, and holds the right to use force, even deadly, if necessary. Of course this also allows them to play "musical chairs" between money and power. How to stop the con game is the question. Since it appears that human beings require an economic system of some kind, I’m for dumping the STATE. History seems to show that the weaker state power is the freer the people are. Surely it’s clear that the stronger STATE power is the less free the people are.

PRIME REVISITED

PRIME REVISITED
(Science Lends a Helping Hand)

My book, EVERY MAN AND WOMAN AN ISLAND, The Individual Human Being As Prime In The Universe, published 2004 is an all-embracing philosophy of human existence. It is complete, and I do not intend to rewrite or revise it in any fundamental way. However, any philosophy worth a dime has a first principle upon which all the rest is founded, and I have one: PRIME (In the book is also referred to as “Womb To Tomb”). It is Chapter Two in the book. Though it requires no changes, the past five years of “feedback” have demonstrated a need for additional “clarity.”

Reader response has proven that of all the subjects covered in the book, it remains confusing to (not me or those who do get it) far too many readers. If the under pinning of the book is wobbly, the entire book is at “risk.” Consequently, I’m mandated to write a review of PRIME. Extra attention is especially given to new views of science.

Due to shared philosophic positions with PRIME renewed mention is given to Cartesian views, Solipsism, as well as the recent development of BIOCENTRISM. This is not to critique the differences among them, but to illustrate their similarities. Fundamentally I find them eerily alike with differences not much more than mincing words.

Even more striking, all of them stand true when subjected to the same infallible proof used to give truth to PRIME. Cartesianism and Solipsism are historically old. PRIME and BIOCENTRISM are relatively new. Biocentrism is not only new, but is uniquely supported by much of mainstream science and logic. (For example, Quantum Physics and the work of Robert Lanza and Bob Berman; Bruce Rosenblum and Fred Kuttner.)

While I have several disagreements with the writer-novelist Ayn Rand, the quote below is not one of them. With it I couldn’t agree more,

"If life can have a ‘theme song’—and I believe every worthwhile one has
--mine is—an obsession or a mania—expressed in one word:
Individualism. "

In fact my philosophy PRIME agrees more with that quote than does her philosophy OBJECTIVISM. So here is my “dictionary” definition of PRIME that I accept as a denotative definition—a great place to begin,

"PRIME; First in time. First in existence. First in quality. First in rank, degree,
influence, importance, and value. The basis of reality. The beginning of anything. "

Borrowing from scripture, “There shall be no gods before me.”

Metaphysics is defined in the original Greek as “that which comes after physics.” Today it is used for almost anything someone thinks he/she knows or believes about the universe. It is such a mess today that “metaphysically” knowing something includes politics, education, business, the common cold, ad nauseum. Of course most of it is nonsense. Factually metaphysics is “existence” and “consciousness of mortality.” Theories founded on the world of “matter” fail to explain anything about “life”, and even less about “consciousness”, even the best of physicists are impotent. At best they can only explain the science of Einstein and Newton. Only the biological sciences continue to add to human knowledge about life and consciousness, with the possible exception of Quantum Physics.

I believe that PRIME offers the best explanation (provable) of consciousness. This includes the fact that individual human beings are each of them is a one of a kind event—that includes life and consciousness in finality. In any meaningful way Metaphysics is no more than the fact of self-awareness and time for A individual human being.

Such lunacy as “God Made It” is the madness that even science uses, too often, when it can’t, at the time “explain” something. The failure spews from the fact that modern science fails when it attempts to explain how consciousness “came” from matter! Time, Matter, and Mortality are extant only in relation to A individual human being, or as Ayn Rand once remarked, “When I die the world will simply cease to exist.”

I have an argument to make, and it’s a new one. I shall explore this argument and a few others similar to mine. But, I want one perspective made very clear: From PRIME’S position, a true metaphysics must subsume science, the scientific method, and formal logic. It must make an observation about events and phenomena about the known world. It must formulate a statement about those events. It must form a proof about the empirical facts of cause and effect. It must form a hypothesis and then validate it against both experiment and formal logic. If such examination supports the statement, one can then conclude a theory, perhaps a law, from such verification.

HOMO SAPIENS ENIGMA

HOMO SAPIENS ENIGMA
The following are seven columns from The Huffington Post that elucidate the
“violent” split that malignantly grows among most Americans today.

1. “The Character of Barack Obama” by David Bromwich 8/4/09.

2. “Keep Your Godamn Government Hands Off My Medicare”
by Bob Cesca 8/5/09.

3. “Danger on the Right” by James Zogby 8/7/09.

4. “Is the Glass Half Empty?” by Robert Kuttner 8/10/09.

5. “Death Panels for Dummies” by Shannyn Moore 8/9/09.

6. “Drug Prohibition and the President’s Political Capital” by Norm Stamper
8/9/09.

7. “Are Democrats Determined to Become What They Most Despised About
Bush?” by Peter Daou 8/10/09.

There are many more in Huffington and other papers. All of them eloquently
portraying the symptomatic decay by one subject or another, or from one
viewpoint or another. All of them offer a wide range of cures, and a few of them
could actually be helpful. I chose none from any columnists and commentators
who are obviously mentally deranged (I believe anyone like the columnists I did
choose can quickly figure out who I did not choose.)

However, the atavistic rancor over the CAUSES of each and every symptom
makes solution impossible; even compromise (Obama’s sainted partisan
approach, the golden mean, etc.) is blood letting one drop at a time. Men aspire
to be applauded which leads to the corruption of power in ALL collectives. Which
leads me to quote Thomas Paine, “The instant government is abolished society
begins to act.”

Now to a brief presentation of the CAUSES alluded to above. The best synopsis
of this phenomenon is found in the words of Rose Wilder Lane explaining the
word, “authoritarianism,”

AMERICA THE UGLY

AMERICA THE UGLY
(History of a Different Song)

May I begin with “Bumper Sticker Wisdom?” If the reader doesn’t feel the wisdom deep within his/her genes, the rest of this essay will blow through one ear and out the other while never touching a brain cell.

The Wisdom: It should never hurt to be a child.

Understand, I believe most humans do mourn the loss of a particular child, and if that loss was through the violence of another human being, they would demand justice and the appropriate punishment. What this essay exposes is the willingness of most humans to have no such reaction to the murder, or even literal infanticide of children by all governments. These people appear to be Pavlovianly conditioned to dehumanize and demonize a particular enemy thereby, with Orwellian Newspeak, alluding to these children as nothing more than collateral damage. Hence, millions can be slaughtered and not a tear will fall. So, before you call for my head, ask yourself, “How ugly is that?”

With NO exceptions is such evil necessary! All wars by all nations has murdered millions of such children (even if it were only ONE), it is by definition infallible EVIL! And to hell with Augustine, Aquinas, et al. who have written tomes praising such evil as, “Having something of the sublime in it.”

The following shall offer evidence of such evil thus proving that in no way can a paradigm of ethics or morality be inherent to any government (aka STATE). Furthermore, it will be shown that all government justice systems are founded on that same evil—particularly its police and courts, not only killing innocent children but also innocent men and women. It will be shown that the American justice system continues to add millions to its ugly world record for imprisonment for personal profit.
